top ten & pin it tuesday: saving $$

It's that time again....a new year....a fresh start at planning, organizing, getting healthy, and of course, getting your finances in order!

Here are 10 ways to save $$ in 2015:

One of my favorites is the 52 Week Money Challenge....here's how it works:

 
 
Week #1 = $1
 
Week #2 = $2

Week #3 = $3

.....and so on and so on until at the end of 52 weeks,
you will have saved $1378.
 

Some people suggest doing it in reverse, starting with the highest deposit amount of $52 and ending the year with $1.
52 week saving - This would more than cover my Christmas budget.  I'm a big fan of the REVERSE chart.

Last year, I only got about half-way through the 52 week challenge, but hopefully this year, we'll save the entire amount.
 
I would like to try a couple more of these ideas and maybe make them designated funds {Christmas, Vacation, Emergency, etc.).
 
January just seems like the perfect time to get started!
