summer get-away - pt. 2

-Wednesday 6/22/16-
continued.....

They take these pics as you board. I was surprised that it was actually a pretty good picture, so we bought this $5 souvenir when we disembarked! :O)

dolphin sightings!!

a different view of our favorite O.C. hotel (Dunes Manor)

I've been to O.C. many, many times, but my first time viewing things from this angle!

back at port.....

So much fun....such a gorgeous day!!

We had talked about going back to The Shark for our belated anniversary dinner, but ended up choosing Hoopers instead. It had been a few years since we had eaten there and it most definitely did not disappoint!!

my dinner was D-E-L-I-S-H!!!

I sometimes call him this!!! ;O)

After dinner, we did some shopping. I was on a mission to find Kamry an outfit for July 4th. Newborn outfits are not the easiest to find, especially if you are looking for something specific. I scored at Kohl's though!! Can't wait to see her in her patriotic outfits! *which, of course, I'll share on the 4th!! :O)

- Thursday 6/23/16 -

We stayed at Sleep Inn and woke up to a yucky, rainy day!! More shopping, then lunch at Jersey Mike's, before driving down to Logan & Lindsey's house. Logan and Peter immediately got busy with some things on Logan's to-do list. They have been waiting a long time to get on a schedule where they can finally do things together again. I spent my time with Kamry and Lindsey got to do a few things she had been needing o do- like sorting through Kamry's clothes. She has already outgrown all preemie stuff, and some of her newborn things are getting tight. I can't wait to see what she weighs at her next appointment!

We would have to leave their house by 4:30 in order to make the boat. Neither of us were talking about it and when Lindsey asked if we could stay, we both said YES! :O) They had cleaned up the grill and Logan was ready to get it going, so he picked up some big steaks when he and Peter went to do the grocery shopping.

The sky was on fire...absolutely gorgeous!!
Logan ran out to the street to get a good picture! :O)

I made baked potatoes and zucchini w/onions to go with the steaks. Dinner was delicious!

but first let's take a selfie!

A little more Kamry time before turning in.....

- Friday 6/24/16 -

I was up at 5:00 for morning duty with my sweet girl!!

Later, everyone else got up and we had breakfast.....

She had her newborn pictures scheduled for today. I've seen two poses so far and they are adorable!!
I helped with Kamry's bath and then we had to head back home......but not before a few more pictures!

What a nice little get-away! We had the best time!!
I can hardly wait for our next one.....SOON!! :O) :O)

summer get-away - pt. 1

-Wednesday 6/22/16-

On Wednesday morning, we stopped by to see Logan, Lindsey, Kamry, and Allie on our way to Ocean City. Logan had just gotten home from his 2 weeks on the boat and was so happy to finally be HOME with his family!!! <3

After catching up with everyone and getting LOTS of Kamry hugs and kisses,
we headed to Ocean City for the rest of the day.
We were hungry by now, and decided to grab a slice of pizza at The Dough Roller.

and some Thrasher's......

we always stop to watch his guy....

and shaved ice is a must!!

YUM!!!
We did a little board-walking and I browsed a few shops,
then we decided to take a little boat ride.....

It was so much fun!! Well worth the $19 for almost an hour! We will definitely do this again on future O.C. visits!!! I highly recommend it!!

They even stopped so that we could watch the dolphins!!

pink + grey + white nursery

I posted a sneak peek of Kamry's pink, grey, and white nursery in progress a few months ago and here are a few pictures of her finished room......

dressers were given a fresh coat of white paint and knobs were
painted pink with polka dots added...so cute!

A few pictures need to be hung and a white glider rocker w/ grey cushion will be added to the room as soon as it arrives. Lindsey had planned to add a pink faux fur rug, but hasn't decided on a rug choice (if any) yet. She plans to do some sort of organizing system in the closet and add a few more items, like a pretty hamper and storage bins, to the room.

Kamry's room is beautiful - very bright and very girly!! She really loves her room, and seems fascinated by the colors and brightness. She is very content while being changed or when she lays in her bed for tummy time or just looking around.
I love the pink, grey, and white combo....
so pretty for a nursery and the colors will grow with her
as it transitions to a little girl's room. <3

update: 8/10/16
glider, hamper, and wipes warmer added
(moved tall dresser into closet for now)
