Our Disney Vacation 2016 - Day 1 (Magic Kingdom pt. 2)

Day 1 - 3/03/16 (part two)

We decided to head over to the hub, since it was soon time for our Fast Pass for Wishes viewing. This was our first time getting a FP for this, and we really liked having a good spot to watch from and get pictures. While I love all of Disney's fireworks, Wishes is my favorite!!

Once Wishes was over, we took the monorail over to the Polynesian Resort. We had a late ADR for dinner at O'Hana for 9:30 (which was the only time I could get). It actually worked out great since we had arrived later than we planned when making our ADRs. We were checked in by 9:15 and had hoped we would get called early, but actually didn't get seated until a little after 10:00!!! By now, Peter's phone was dead, so no pictures from dinner! Normally, O'Hana is a favorite, but it didn't quite live up to it's usual rave from us this time. I think this is because (a) we don't like eating dinner after 10 p.m. and (b) it was close to closing time and I think the waiters were ready to call it a day and it seemed like we were being rushed. We didn't get refills on anything and we really could have eaten a few more honey bbq wings and pork dumplings! We were a little while getting the shrimp skewers, which are usually our favorite, but they were a bit disappointing since they tasted like they had been kept warm on the grill. Overall, our dinner here was very good, but I think eating that late took from the meal this time. We will definitely return, but may take a year off, simply because there are sooooo many amazing restaurants in WDW and we've done O'Hana many times. I will still recommend it, just recommend an earlier ADR.

Dinner at O'Hana: $86.18 (or 2 TS credits) + cash tip

After dinner, we took the monorail back over to the MK bus stop, and got back to our room by midnight. Our luggage was waiting in our room when we got there. Day 1 had been a great start to our vacation. :O)

I wore my Fitbit during our vacation and kept note of how many steps we took and how many miles we walked.

Day 1: 3/03/16

STEPS= 10,073
MILES= 4.67
