{Valentine's Day} DECOR

Happy Valentine's Day!

I love Valentine's Day and all the decor.
Give me all the hearts

For my tray, I kept it simple with red/natural wood beads w/tassle & heart, and a wooden "Love Makes a House a HOME" house cut from Hobby Lobby (both on sale), one of my Rae Dunn mugs (CRAZY....for you), some red straws, a little greenery, and 3 wooden candlesticks that I already had. I love the one-tier galvanized tray! It has that farmhouse look and is super cute to decorate for each holiday.

I got this letter board from Kohl's at Christmastime and hung it above my coffee center....and I added a red/white pom-pom garland (again, on sale at Hobby Lobby). The heart coffee stirrers are from Target's dollar spot from a few years ago. I added all of my LOVE themed Rae Dunn mugs on the mug holder.

XOXO

Wreath is a few years old (from Kohl's). It's velvety red flowers pop on the front door!

I won a $200 cash giveaway on Instagram!!!!!!

I love entering them and have actually a few other things including a $50 Tervis gift card.
I'll keep entering- maybe I'll get lucky again!

{two}

Doing another #moneysavingchallenge this year but starting off easy
with a $1,000 goal. So far, I've saved $112.00!

{three}

I spent the night in the hospital with Mom after she was taken out on the medivac last Thursday. She had a kidney stone/infection. Actually, 2 patients went in the same helicopter - Cindy Wheatley had to go too, and I rode up by boat with Jenny and Alyssa on Dan's boat (It was a rough ride but thankful  to them for taking me!!!) She passed it early the next morning and was discharged, she's doing much better!!   PRAISE THE LORD!!!

Planning our little Valentine's Day getaway!!

We are headed to Virginia Beach this year and I'm all about the planning!!!!

{five}

New luggage!!!
While traveling on the train and all over New York, I realized our luggage situation was NOT up to par! We were all about over-packing those coffin-sized suitcases that don't roll good and are just wayyyy too hard to handle. So, a new suitcase was on my wishlist for Christmas and this is the one I bought with Mom and Dad's money.

Can't wait to pack it up!!

XOXO

Valentine's Day Getaway [Annie's Paramount Steak & Seafood]

02.09.19

We chose Annie's Paramount Steak & Seafood House for our date night. The atmosphere, service, and most of all the food, did not disappoint.

I got the Lobster & Filet ---it was ah-mazing!! <3

 Peter got the Maryland Crab soup as an app.....

and the top sirloin & sesame crusted ahi - which he said was perfect!

Although we were stuffed....we shared a slice of Red Velvet Cheesecake for dessert. <3

We had heard good things about Annie's from friends and they definitely were right about it being an awesome spot to celebrate Valentine's Day! We will return on future trips in that area. :O)

The view at night from our balcony was absolutely beautiful! I am so glad we chose the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake and I'm also glad we splurged for a room with a balcony - what a gorgeous place! I already want to go back!!

Valentine's Day Getaway [Hyatt Regency Chesapeake]

02.09.19 We were headed to Cambridge for the night, but we stopped in Salisbury and did a little shopping and had lunch at Firehouse Subs.

We always love trying new places, so for this trip we chose the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake
which had been on my bucket list and splurged on a king bed/balcony with water view room.
It was wonderful! <3

in Kent Island. It was a gorgeous evening for a drive - about 45 minutes away.
