my favorite time of day - morning. 


Devotions, prayer, coffee, 

and some quiet time set the tone for my day. 

This, for me, is self-care, which seems to be 

more and more important the older I get. ❤️

{bedroom refresh}

I've been working on a little bedroom refresh since before Christmas and it's finally coming together. A few of the challenges from the #simplicitychallenge2019 have helped get the bedroom simplified and organized (and pretty!).

-CLOSET CLEAN OUT-

Major clean out! I had 4 bags of clothes that I donated and feel much better. :O)

I still want to do a capsule wardrobe, so I may scale down even more. I'll share more about that later.

I didn't like the mix-matched hangers, so I bought some new ones and got a great deal.

This one didn't apply as I only have two formal dresses from the boys weddings 

(which I'm keeping in case we go on a cruise).

VACAY: I booked our anniversary get-away and of course, it's summer, so we are going to O.C.!!

We have an oceanfront balcony at the Dunes Manor reserved and I am soooooooo excited!!

I didn't realize it was the same author as from the book Present Over Perfect which I've been planning to read. So, on my to-order list are both of these books.

I've been looking for a new striped shirt, and this one from Nordstrom looks perfect (and it's on sale for $19.00!!) Comes in several colors/stripes, but I like this one best.

I noticed several of my favorite IG'ers got courtesy boxes from Magnolia Market---whattt???
Maybe my following will be big enough some day that I'll start getting #happymail from Joanna & Chip!!

Their boxes included their CHALK PAINT ,wax, and brushes (among other cute stuff!)

I would LOVE to see Kari Jobe - The Garden Tour in Virginia Beach on Thursday Oct 19th!!!
Unfortunately, I just found out about it and didn't make plans. I know it will be a fantastic concert! Hopefully, I'll get to one of her concerts in the future.

Mom introduced me to OUI yogurt and now I see it all over IG. If you are a yogurt eater...you will love, love this!
