menu plan monday / sept 2025

Menu Plan Monday • September 2025

We are still pretty much taking things a week at a time with what days we will be home so we really don’t have a [meal plan]. I have been doing at least one big grocery haul a month and try to keep ingredients on hand for 7-8 meals, ready for the days we are cooking dinner at home. I also started up @everyplate again and will get one shipment a month.

*[08.30 & 08.31 - crab cakes, potato salad, & roasted brussels]

09.01 - Chicken Parmesan

09.02 - * Peter was away | I ordered out

09.03 • Spaghetti & garlic bread (+ dinner for boys after school + I froze a bag of sauce for a future meal) garlic bread was an add-on in E/P box)

09.04 - E/P meal • Buffalo Ranch Chicken, mashed potatoes & roasted carrots

09.05 - lunch=From Scratch | dinner=pizza

09.06 - E/P meal • Balsamic Meatballs, parsley & butter potatoes, green beans and yeast rolls (I made 3 pans of rolls and sent 2 to the after-funeral meal)

09.07 - E/P meal • burgers & homemade fries

09.08 - beef stroganoff over noodles, roasted cauliflower, and garlic toast (*steak for stroganoff and garlic toast were add ons in E/P box)

09.09 - lunch= From Scratch | Dinner= Caesar Salad (add-on in E/P box)

09.10 - Chicken Pot Pies (1 for us + 1 for K & boys)

09.11 - Meatloaf, parsley & butter potatoes, garden salad

09.12 - lunch = Jersey Mikes | dinner = Pizza

09.13 - late lunch at Mallard’s

09.14 - grilled steaks w/ mushrooms & onions, grilled Caesar salad, & onion rings

09.15 - teriyaki beef & broccoli w/rice and jello salad

I have lots of meats in the freezer, but will need to make another little grocery haul soon. Planning meals and having ingredients on hand for the days I am cooking really helps with the grocery budget and doing a subscription boxed meal once a month adds a little variety to the menu. We will be away a few days over the next 2 weeks but I have meals planned for the days we are home including - TikTok Pasta w/shrimp & garlic toast • pork tenderloin • stuffed peppers • steak subs • chicken casserole • sweet & sour chicken • crock pot chicken thighs. Also, still using the rice cooker which makes THE BEST sticky rice and is a super cheap but delicious side to any meal.

a weekend of therapy......

a weekend of therapy ☀️🌊 Thursday | Friday • we did our annual White Marlin Open
day in OC and while we lucked out and had the most beautiful weather/temps at the beach, the wind kept most of the boats in on Thursday! We tried subs from Primo Hoagies for lunch - very good [but Anthony’s subs are still our fave]!🤤 Dinner at Crab Alley 🦀🙌🏻 and a room with a [bay] view🌅 a much needed overnight getaway. We were also able to see Mom both days and had a little Kamry visit.❤️

Saturday • unexpected days are the best! We ended up taking Logan back after the funeral and got to visit Mom again❤️ It was such a gorgeous evening we ended up going to dinner at Ray’s Shanty before heading home.🌅

Sunday • we watched church and had a quiet day at home. Dinner on the grill today: chicken/bacon/bbq skewers & grilled cabbage and fresh tomato/mozzarella/basil w/balsamic.

A boat day.....a little getaway.....being with family.....cooking.....these are some things that are therapy for me! What's your therapy? (we checked an item off of our Summer Bucket List ☑️ beach day in OC) @oakridge.live @craballeywoc @white_marlin_open @oceancitymaryland @comfortinngoldcoast @primohoagies #refresh #therapy #summer #summervibes #sunset #boating #boatdays #ocmd #whitemarlinopen #oceancitymaryland #beachday #grilling #raysshanty #freshseafood #craballey #roomwiththeview #comfortinngoldcoast #primohoagies #weekendvibes #littlevisits #lifeinpictures #thisisus #lifeisgrand

MEAL PLANNING JAN 2022

MENU PLANNING 🍽

We started off the New Year with a few family dinners.
Kole is always here for the food and is the first to the table everytime! ☺️💙

our first duck dinner for the year on the 2nd, and a breakfast dinner of
homemade waffles & sausage ((and snow cream)) on our big snow day on 1/03!

We did a big Food Lion pick-up the first of the month and I planned our
meals for the first 3 weeks of January!

1/10 - TikTok Pasta w/Shrimp

1/11 - Boiled Fish w/ biscuits/Fig Preserves/Cheddar Cheese + Coffee

1/12 - Pork Chop Scalloped Potato Casserole

1/13 - Spaghetti, Garlic Bread, & Pea Salad

1/14 - chicken tenders, baked sweet potato, & pea salad

1/15 - Pork Roast, carrots, & potatoes with gravy + sautéed cabbage

left on the menu:
*chicken *beans w/ham & rolls *Meatloaf  *oysters  *lasagna *unplanned

I try to do a meal plan and shop for all the ingredients to have on hand for the meals. I don't usually do a set day for each meal but decide what we are in the mood for each day or how much time I have to cook that day. I love having everything I need on hand, that is a HUGE part of sticking to a grocery budget.

MEAL PLANNING

MENU PLAN MONDAY
01.20.20 - 02.02.20

Planned out meals for the next 2 weeks and did a grocery haul before coming home on Monday. Now that the holidays are over, I’m ready to get back on track with being more organized with meal planning which really helps cut our food budget. Here’s what’s on the menu to finish out January thru the first week of February (I don’t assign specific days for meals, but have all the ingredients on hand for whatever we are in the mood for that day or what meal I have time to cook.)

Winter weather calls for lots of soups and comfort foods.❄️ We got home late on the boat Monday evening, so we just did some fried shrimp in the air fryer. Tuesday it was freezing, and cold days call for breakfast for dinner, so we had homemade chipped beef on toast and scrambled eggs.

Wednesday: balsamic chicken salad

Thursday: Shrimp Po’Boys

Friday: make-your-own pizza night

Saturday: we had steaks marinating, but ended up getting chicken salads from Double Six.

Sunday: Steaks, onions & mushrooms, baked potatoes, & roasted asparagus

Also on the menu - bbq chicken, clams casino, taco soup, spaghetti, vegetable beef soup, turkey clubs, pizzaburger loaf, baked chicken, and crab cakes. I still haven’t decided on our Super Bowl food yet, because for me, the Super Bowl is all about the food, the half-time show, and the commercials.
