{Memorial Day Weekend 2018}

I had a full house of overnight guests checking in today and they were all staying until Monday ---->which meant a Memorial Day Sunday finally work free!!! YAAA!!! Nathan dropped Rowen by while he played softball until Kayla got off work. They came for a cookout afterwards and by then Logan and Kamry had gotten here. Logan had decided last minute to bring Kamry over for the night since Lindsey would be out of town for her friend Danielle's bachelorette weekend. We were so excited to have them! It is always so good having everyone together and I wish Lindsey could have come as well. Peter grilled burgers and hot dogs for dinner, and we also had deviled eggs, cole slaw, potato salad, onion dip & chips, and Lemon Lush. YUM!
This guy is so content and happy - he's a pleasure to be around. He loves coming to Nana and Pop Pop's house ((((and btw, can say NANA now <3 <3 <3)))

Kamry was so excited to be at Nana & Pop Pop's house. <3 She is so much fun and keeps us entertained for sure! She enjoys everything and is the happiest, sweetest girl! <3 We had the best time  together!

After the program, we went to Four Brothers to get dinner (but ended up bringing it back to the house to eat since it was cooler there and the kids needed naps). Mom and Dad came down too. Logan decided to stay another night since it would be so rushed and Kamry was enjoying her visit!

Rowen wants dinner too!
 Kayla wasn't feeling good so she went home to rest and Nathan stayed here with Rowen until time for bath/bedtime. Peter and I rode the children out on the cart to get the flag in and then I made pan of jalapeño poppers for a snack. I took the kids in on the guest room bed and it was priceless!!!!! Kamry was jumping (in muddle puddles) on the bed and Rowen thought she was hilarious! Then, Rowen picked up her prized "Owlie" and put it in his mouth...needless to say she wasn't loving that idea but her reaction was so sweet! The video is rather long so it takes awhile to load up. I'll add it here as soon as I get it uploaded.....it's the sweetest!!

After everyone left, Logan gave Kamry her bath and they settled down early for the night.
We weren't too far behind them! :O)

They slept around the clock! Kamry is a great sleeper and seldom rises too early.
She wanted one last Nana smoothie! :O) I had to work today, so Gran invited everyone up there for a big lunch and they hung out afterwards. They left on the 4:00 boat, and I always hate when their little visits come to an end! We had the best holiday weekend though. It had been an impromptu visit, but sometimes they make the best kind. You grab those little moments whenever you can and just enjoy the time you get to spend with each other. We also realized later that this is one of few holidays the men will be home for this year. It's their year of working most holidays, so while we really hadn't planned it that way, we absolutely loved having the kids here to celebrate Memorial Weekend! :O)
