Crabs!!!

{and......steamed crabs just happens to be an item to check off of our Summer Bucket List}

While we were at, we decided to pull out the lemons and make some lemonade!

Peter wanted to try out the juicer {a vintage glass reamer Mom gave me years ago}.

After much coaxing, Nathan finally joined us, just in time to try the finished product. YUM!

While we are on the topic of food..............

Peter's garden is brimming with BIG, RIPE, RED, TOMATOES!!! D-E-L-I-S-H!!!!

man on a mission.......

On Tuesday, I shared this post about making a "Summer Bucket List". Nathan thinks I'm just plain weird for making a list or so he wants me to think. Peter thought it was a little silly at first, but you can't imagine how many times he's read the list this week, and how many comments he's made {all good!} :O) Peter is the kind of person who is hard to get with the program, but once he does, he really gets into it and actually enjoys it in spite of himself. The list is so simple, yet it's things I long to do each summer, but can't get anyone else interested in joining in the fun. The summer goes by and we hardly do any of those little fun things families do together. But I think I have found the solution......Peter is now literally on a mission to check EVERYTHING off the list before summer ends!!!!! We went for ice cream last night, and this evening, he made a detour during our ride and headed to the beach, just in time to watch the sunset!!! It was a gorgeous night and the sunset was amazing! He was talking about the list on the way home, wondering what we could do next.......stay tuned, once this man gets started, there is no stopping until it's complete! Now, if I can only get Nathan to join in as well!

The first thing that came to mind were all the SILVER guard rails you see as you wait in queue. During our last trip though, we lucked out with no wait for Soarin'...Peter literally ran through the queue!! LOL

I also posted this under Disney in White because when I think of Epcot, I picture this big WHITE ball, when actually close up, it definitely is SILVER.

My guestbook at the b&b is filled with sweet messages from guests who have enjoyed their stay with us! I keep them from each year, and love looking through them after the season is over.
I can't believe we are halfway through this 52 week challenge, I have really enjoyed being part of this group.

52 Photos/Week #25-Nature

Picking blackberries is a childhood memory I'll never forget. Even today, whenever I see a blackberry vine, I can't help but remember the hours I spent picking them, and then selling quarts of them to my neighbors. I love blackberries, straight from the vine, but my favorite recipe using them is a Blackberry Roll that Peter's grandmother used to make. I've tried copying it, but it will probably never compare to hers. It was a flaky pastry rolled out, filled with a sugary blackberry filling, rolled up and baked until golden brown...my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The blackberries are plentiful right now, maybe I should fill my bucket and try my luck again with her recipe...............

Summer Bucket List

I can't believe that one month of summer vacation is gone already....2 months from today and we'll be back to school!!!! Although, we've done a few fun things already, I still have lots I want our family to enjoy this summer. I've noticed lots of "bucket" lists on Pinterest, so I thought, why not make a "Summer Bucket List". I changed out my chalkboard today and made our very own list! Let's have some fun!!!!!
