We went on an overnight mini-getaway this weekend---it was jam-packed with things to do but we had the absolute best time!! The main focus was an early Valentine's Day celebration for Peter and I, but we also fit in a ride down the shore for some business at the DMV, lunch with Kamry and Lindsey, some shopping today with Kayla and Liv, and of course, LOTS of food!!!

After a trip to the DMV to get the paperwork done for the SUV and get my license renewed, Peter suggested we drop by Robert and Gina's house to see if they were home. Gina was there....with this sweetie!!!!
Dawsyn <3
Dawsyn is adorable and didn't even mind that interrupted her lunch!! It was nice catching up with Gina too!
Next, Peter dropped me at Peebles where I shopped a bit, while he went to get the SUV inspected. After that, we headed north and met up with Lindsey and Kamry for lunch. Lindsey suggested a new place in Princess Anne --- Legacy Bistro. The food was good and the company was even better! What a nice extra to our little getaway!! <3 <3 <3
little fingers!! :O)
Sweet girl!!!!!
love these little visits!
THOSE BOOTS!!! <3 <3 <3
We headed to Salisbury for some shopping.....Home Goods and Marshall's (Rae Dunn hunting!). Then, we headed to O.C. for dinner. We got there with a few minutes to spare, so why not check out the HG and Marshall's there too! LOL I saw a few things I liked but only bought a mug today. :O)
Dinner at THE SHARK did not disappoint!!!!!
It is my favorite restaurant in Ocean City!
If you go....get the bread basket!! It's something different every time we go. This time, we got the yummiest bread w/ pimento cheese spread and whipped butter (plus a sample of one of their salads).
Peter started with the mussels....
I got my fave.....Beet & Beery Salad.....
......and the Shrimp & Lobster Dip
Peter got the grilled ribeye with house steak sauce, potatoes and Brussels sprouts.
He rated this steak one of the best he's ever eaten!

The next morning we made a quick trip to Walmart before Peter dropped me off to meet up with Kayla and Liv! Peter headed home and I spent the day with the girls.
We scouted out Home Goods for Rae Dunn goodies, then headed to the outlets in O.C.
Kayla found Rowen the cutest Easter outfit at Gymboree! <3 and we found a few RD items in Marshall's and Home Goods, but nothing to get excited over.
We were ready for lunch and I had suggested a couple places, including Carrabbas which neither of us had ever been, and we ended up giving it a try. Our lunch was okay, Kayla and I enjoyed it more than Liv I think, but then again, we LOVE food! LOL Liv....not so much...she's a bit more finicky!
They wanted dessert...Tiramisu!
{{{this was one potent tiramisu!! LOL}}}
After lunch, we headed to Salisbury for more browsing. We had just about given up on finding any Rae Dunn goodies today, but made one last stop in Marshalls. We looked all through the isles and came up empty handed. Me and Liv were at the front waiting for Kayla when Liv got a call from her saying to come quick!!! LOL She had spotted some good stuff through the window of the store room and was dying to get someone to bring it all out!! I went and found a worker and we asked her if she would get a few things off the cart.....she was awesome and let us look through all of it!!
The top thing on my wish list was a HIP HOP canister.....SCORE!
We ended up with 2 HIP HOP canisters, a couple of HIP HOP and HAPPY SPRING dishes, and HAPPY EASTER trays (+ one more mug for me!) :O)
Liv thinks we are nuts but is the best sport ever! :O)
We had a few minutes left before heading to the boat, so Kayla suggested trying an ice cream place she had heard good things about.....South Pole Ice Cream Roll
O.M.G!!!
We all 3 chose the Morning Latte - coffee ice cream w/ sweetened condensed milk
I tried to get pictures of the girls today....It's not Kayla's favorite thing....but they humored me with their "goofy" pose! LOL
What a nice little getaway, filled with fun, laughter, shopping, eating, hanging out with family, and a little quiet time with Peter! <3
Happy Valentine's Day!!
xoxo
