O Christmas Tree

A few years ago, we got our very first live tree and I was in love!! Then two years ago, Peter wanted to go back to a fake tree because of being at work at Christmastime. I really didn't love it, and much prefer a real one, so this year, with Peter being home for the holidays, we got one!! The smell alone is worth it, but also, I love the shape of it and just how pretty it is. Hopefully, a live tree will continue to be a tradition again here at our house!

I love turning it on in the early mornings when its still dark outside. The glow of the tree makes everything feel so cozy! :O)

O CHRISTMAS TREE

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging;
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging;
Not only green when summer's here,
But also when 'tis cold and drear.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging!

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Much pleasure thou can'st give me;
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Much pleasure thou can'st give me;
How often has the Christmas tree
Afforded me the greatest glee!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Much pleasure thou can'st give me.

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!
From base to summit, gay and bright,
There's only splendor for the sight.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
How richly God has decked thee!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
How richly God has decked thee!
Thou bidst us true and faithful be,
And trust in God unchangingly.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
How richly God has decked thee! !"

I love your tree! I was feeling a little down today, for some reason, I'm not sure, but I thought I would turn to your blog, and sure enough, you lifted me up!!! Thank you, Susan!
I do the same thing that you do! When I get up in the morning, and it's still dark outside, I always turn on the lights on my little Christmas tree, and eat breakfast with just the tree lights on and no other lamps! You're right! It really is cozy and comforting!!

Thank you for the words to "Oh Christmas Tree"!!! I've never actually known the correct words to that song! I sat here and sang the whole song to my Christmas Tree!

Thank you, Susan! I feel better now! Many blessings to you this Christmas and all year long!!
Love, Margaret xoxoxo
