Martha & Marley Spoon: Steak & Oven Fried Brussels Sprouts

Steak & Garlic Butter w/ Oven Fried Brussels sprouts

INGREDIENTS

3/4 oz parmesan 
8 oz brussels sprouts
red onion
1 oz panko breadcrumbs
2 sirloin steaks
1 clove garlic
2 T butter
1 egg
olive oil

1. Prep Ingredients 
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lightly oil a rimmed baking sheet. Grate parmesan. Trim ends of Brussels sprouts and cut in half. Trim ends of onion then halve, peel, and slice into 1/2 inch wedges. 

2. Prepare Breading
Beat egg with 2 T oil in a medium bow; season with salt & pepper. Place panko in a separate bowl and toss with parmesan, 1/2 tsp. salt and a dash of pepper.

3. Bread vegetables
Coat brussels sprouts in egg then remove letting excess drip off. toss and coat in panko and put on baking sheet. Do the same with onion slices. Sprinkle any remaining panko over veggies.

4. Roast veggies
Drizzle veggies with olive oil and roast in oven for 20-25 minutes until tender and golden brown stirring halfway through. 

5. Cook steaks
Heat 1 T oil in pan. Season steaks with salt & pepper and cook, turning once, until deeply browed and done to your taste.

6. Make garlic butter & plate
Peel and grate 1 small clove garlic. Add butter and 1/4 tsp. coarsely ground pepper and stir until combined. Serve steaks with a dollop of garlic butter and crispy Brussels and onions on the side. ENJOY!
