winter getaway.....

Last week, we went away for a few nights to finish up shopping.....

Day 1 - a few hours of shopping, then lunch
@ Buffalo Wild Wings...

Peter always gets wings, I had the Street Tacos and a Cherry Limeade this time. Yummmmm....

More shopping....

then we met up with Nathan & Kayla for ice cream.....

Non-perils were a nice addition - one of my holiday favorites! :O)

:0) :0) :0)

We checked in @ Sleep Inn, then drove to Ocean City to see the lights. So Christmas-y! The weather was very mild, it is usually freezing when we go to see the lights!

We stopped at Outback for dinner....

Delish!!

We ended up at the movies....

Return to the main poster page for Love the Coopers:
This one was pretty good!

Day 2 - We had a few errands to run, then we drove back to O.C. for lunch at Tony Luke's! I had spotted it on the way to see the lights last night, and we decided to give it a try. We've seen it on the Food Network/Travel Channel and heard good things, so we were anxious to try. We got the traditional (grilled onions & whiz only).  It was soooo good!! I'd still like to get to Philly someday to try the other famous cheesesteak places to compare (Geno's, Pat's...)! :O)

We finished up shopping, then took a little break.
We decided on East Moon for dinner. It did not disappoint!!

Peter wanted to go back to the movies, but we weren't sure what to see. He had seen Creed the week before by himself when he went deer hunting a few days, so I'll have to catch that one on PPV.

He picked "The Night Before", but it was a bust for me! I ended up in the lobby catching up on texts from Nathan, while Peter finished it. It was that BAD! :O(

The Night Before starring Seth Rogan isn't about visions of sugar plums, that's for sure! Check out the details of this upcoming Christmas comedy movie! Plus, brush up on The Night Before movie trivia!

At least I got this ginormous Icee out of it! :O)

The next morning, we picked up a spiral ham and other refrigerated goodies before heading home. I wanted to have lunch in the mall food court, just so I might get to see that old lady again. She was there! :O)

Side Note: A few days ago, in my Advent devotional, the scripture was [Hebrews 13:2] "Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it." NIV
It said..."this Advent and Christmas, let us openly express God's greatness as we move out of our comfort zones to share God's love with a hurting world. Every day, we can be on the lookout for angels ...around the table; at a soup kitchen, or at the shopping mall food court."

I believe more than ever, that God sends people and
circumstances in our lives to bless us or encourage us.
