Destination Disney: 3 Favorite Resorts

Only 3????????
Gee, this is hard! We have stayed on property 4 out of our 5 trips to WDW. We've stayed at Coronado Springs, Caribbean Beach twice, and Beach Club. There are still so many we want to experience. We really loved both Coronado and Caribbean Beach, and will definitely return in the future, but I can only choose 3 favorites this week so here they are....my 3 favorite Disney resorts, one we've actually stayed at, and two that are on our wish list for future stays
{1} BEACH CLUB~ Peter and I were fortunate enough to enjoy a week long stay at Beach Club last year. It was a "just us" trip, and since Disney offered such an awesome resort discount, we decided to go for it and splurge on a deluxe stay.....and let me tell you, Beach Club is amazing! Not only is it a gorgeous resort, but it's access to Epcot via the International Gateway would spoil anyone. I would definitely love to go back to BC again...

{2}WILDERNESS LODGE~ We haven't had the chance to stay at WL as of yet, but after having dinner at The Whispering Canyon Cafe last year we, {Peter especially}, fell in love with it!!! Hopefully, someday we'll get to experience it. It is beautiful!
{3}PORT ORLEANS~ For our upcoming 2013 vacation, Peter and I plan to return alone again. We are thinking about trying one of the PO resorts.....the theming looks amazing and it looks like the perfect resort for a couples only trip! :O) Now to decide which section to stay in.....RIVERSIDE

or FRENCH QUARTER

.....any recommendations????? I'm sure we can't go wrong though, Disney manages to outdo itself every time!

The French Quarter looks so beautiful, they all look great! I wish I had been to them so I could make a recommendation x

Great list! I'd love to experience Beach Club and Wilderness Lodge sometime. We've stayed at Port Orleans Riverside twice and loved it both times. We have reservations at French Quarter for September - so we'll see how they compare.

We get insurance. We haven't cancelled less than 45 days before, so not sure. The 6 day tickets are good for Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios- 1 per day (unless you get park hopper (you can go to all 4 per day if you want). We don't get hoppers though. We usually do 1 park per day...you can come and go all day in that one park. Maybe you should call and ask about the cancelling info, since I'm not sure. When are you going????

The Dining Plan we get is the regular plan (1 counter service, 1 table service, and 1 snack credit per person). It also includes a refillable mug for your resort for soda/coffee/etc. I book all table service dinners in advance. You can wait, but there may be a LONG wait or you may not get in. For counter service, we just go with the flow. Usually no wait.

That's so exciting!!!! They are going to love it! & YOU TOO!! A big part of our trips though is the planning (in a fun way-I love it!) Peter said just last night when I was telling him a few more things I had stumbled on, how exciting the planning part was. We don't have a rigid schedule, but we (I) at least choose park days beforehand (based on park hours-staying on property you get extra magic hours) and we make dining reservations based on where we will be that day. Other than that, we go with the flow and just do our favorite things (and some new stuff). I have figured out that we can go horseback riding in Disney(I've never done it. I am soooo excited! This is my 8th trip, and we will be doing many things again this trip (with still more to go back for!. It is a relaxing, and happy, and fun place to vaction! I am just as excited for this trip as I was the first time. We love going alone, but look forward to going someday with the boys and their families! I love talking about Disney...can you tell??? :O)Check out ALL EARS website---lots of good planning info! If you have any questions...just ask!
