Summer Getaway - Ocean City, MD

06.13.18

We left early and headed to Ocean City, stopping for a quick Walmart run and a quick look in Marshalls for some Rae Dunn goodies (only to find nothing I wanted). We stopped by the hotel to get our parking permit and pre-check in. Check in wasn't until 4:00, but they would call us as soon as our room was ready. We were staying at The Dunes Manor, our favorite OC hotel, and we loved that it was just a few steps from the boardwalk. We started walking up the boardwalk,
and stopped for lunch  here.........

what a great combo!!!

I got a slice of pizza and Peter got an Italian Sub...yummm!

Fractured Prune Donuts for dessert!! Again....YUMMMM!
We tried the O.C. Sand and the Sundae flavors.

After lunch, we kept strolling up the boardwalk.

We walked past this little guy and his sisters selling shells, but turned around because he was the sweetest little entrepreneur and we couldn't not buy seashells from them. Their grandmother was out there with them and was nice as well. I LOVE meeting people like that and it makes me happy knowing there are still some good folks out there! I can definitely see that young man doing great things when he gets older.

We stopped in the Kite Loft..............

We never take time to just relax on the porch, but today was all about relaxing!
We had brought our kite with us, but Peter had picked up another one and wanted to test it out.

stopped for some faves......
~SHAVED ICE~
Root Beer please!! :O)

Love these!!!

And what's a trip to the boardwalk without getting THRASHERS!!!

mine....mine....mine

We ended up walking the entire boardwalk yet it didn't seem like it since we stopped to relax, eat, and browse. Our room was ready, so we made our way to the tram to catch a ride back to our hotel.

I still get excited when I see rides, but I rarely ride anywhere but Disney anymore.

coming up.......a room with a view!
