Coastal Living at it's Best

I've been wanting to do this for quite awhile and today I finally did it! I've been wanting to take pictures of my parent's house to share here on my blog. I often tell Mom that her house looks like a magazine, yet it makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk in! She truly has a flair for decorating. While Dad does all the behind the scenes repairs & re-dos, Mom is the one who can make a room come together with a pop of color, a piece of furniture she has painted, or a "treasure" she has collected and displayed in just the right spot. I'd say her style is a mix of coastal/shabby/beachy, and it all comes together with a backdrop of crisp white {her favorite wall color, heck, not just wall color, anything she can get her hands on}!! I stopped by this morning to give my advise {as if she needed it} on some things she is doing in the bathroom. While I was there I took advantage of getting some pictures. She fussed that I didn't wait until the house had been cleaned. I only wish my house looked this good at 9 a.m.! See for yourself:
magazine worthy

lime, aqua, and coral are her new favorite colors

once pine cabinets now crisp white

pretty bill paying station

Dad made the buoy lamp and bird

she split the long living room into living/dining areas

some new coral pillows from etsy

DIY jewelry holder

bedroom colors: pale shade of blue on the walls, creamy white accents, and a touch of light purple

bathroom storage: tags read "by...the...bay"

painted front door & cute wreath

I think I discovered her "inspiration"!! :O)
Once we figured out the bathroom dilemma and I had taken a gazillion pictures of their house, she sent me home with a yummy lunch! :O) Thanks Mom!!!
I'm linking up with 52 Weeks/52 Photos for week #12 & 13. The words are DOOR & TREASURE.
