weekend in charlotte, nc (day 2- complete)

We finished up with zip lining and headed to the Nascar Hall of Fame. By the time we got there, we had less than 2 hours before they closed. We bought the pass that included lunch since we hadn't eaten since breakfast. The pass also included a ride on the car simulator.

Had to get a picture with this car, Nathan's namesake - Bill Elliott

Peter was in heaven, and we soon realized that 2 hours is nowhere near enough
time for a Nascar fan to take in everything.
We stayed until closing time, then we went over to check in at the hotel.

We started talking about were to go for dinner and decided to go back to Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery. It was only 5 blocks from our hotel and we knew the food was delish, so that's were we ended up. We had a 30 minute wait, but it gave us a chance to mingle with more visiting Bears fans. Nathan loves that part of the trip!

I got the yummiest chicken.......

[BREWHOUSE CHICKEN: Grilled chicken breast served on top of white cheddar mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies. Topped off with savory mushroom beer gravy and crispy onion strings.]

Peter got steak, a salad, and asparagus. I'm not sure what Nathan and Kayla ordered, since they got their own table, but they both said their meal was very good. I decided to order dessert again and got the cinnamon sugar donut holes with warm caramel dipping sauce. Oh my!!!
I ate a few and got a box for later. We walked back and almost did the carriage ride, but decided to call it a night. We were all very excited about the game tomorrow!
