DIY Copycat Project: Ledge Shelves

I've had my eye on some shelves I saw at Pottery Barn. They are ledge shelves, perfect for displaying pictures, etc., instead of hanging them on the wall. Check them out here. The price, of course, was a bit ridiculous @ $55.00 each for the 4' length I wanted.

I showed a picture of these to my Dad and he said he could make them for me {much cheaper...say just have me over for dinner...LOL}. I picked up the wood last week at Lowe's {$18.00}, and Dad put them together and brought them by yesterday. PERFECT!!!!

I need to get them painted and hung, but I'll share pictures as soon as the project is complete.
