Mother/Daughters FALL Getaway - 2019

September 20 & 21 • Annual mother/daughter getaway weekend was so much fun!! Lots of food and shopping, then dinner and a movie - a short but very sweet trip! ❤️

 • dinner at EVO [Evolution Craft Brewing Co.] was just soooo good!! Their specialty: the yummy charcuterie boards - a meal in itself - was absolutely delicious! We shared this one and also tried the bbq pulled pork and slaw flatbread, the avocado crab toast points, and the best fries!! It was my first time eating there but won’t be my last!!  

And what's a trip without Starbucks!

• took an impromptu boat ride on this beautiful (after the storm) 

afternoon and ended up having dinner at Bayside Restaurant 🦀 

of course, we had to get a piece of Smith Island Cake to go! 😋

[Tomato Pie]

We’ve had a bumper crop of tomatoes lately so it was a great time to finally 

try Laura’s recipe for TOMATO PIE! It was absolutely delicious 😋 

[even though I cheated and used a frozen ready crust I had on hand.] ☺️

Money Saving Challenge - UPDATE

It’s September and I’m counting down this last month toward 

my personal goal of saving $5,000- in one year. 🤑 

I started last September (2018) and have been working hard on saving some extra money this year. Each sheet is $1,000- and I’ve completed 3 so far, and just started the 4th. ✅ 

With only a month to go, I’m not sure I’ll reach my goal, but I’m excited to see just how close I’ll get. 

I work on commission and won’t get my paycheck until the season ends - I’ve already decided I’ll take the remainder of what I haven’t saved by 09.30.19 from that to complete my challenge. 

I love setting a #personalgoal for the year, and posting my progress here and on stories really does help keep me accountable. ☺️
