Copy Cat Project - Hydrangea Wreath

There are so many crafty people out there in blogland -I would love to copy some of their projects!! This one really took my eye, especially since the b&b where I work has a yard full of beautiful hydrangeas! Last fall, I cut some of blooms that had turned to there beautiful burgandy and green colors. This year, I plan to dry them and make a wreath for our front door like this one. I found this project on one of the blogs I follow: http://fullofgreatideas.blogspot.com/2010/10/make-your-own-beautiful-hydrangea.html

So pretty!! I will post pictures of my wreath project once I get it done!!

Find Out Your Real Age {A Fun Test}

I thought this was fun and figured some of you would too. Find out what your real age is! Millions have taken Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen’s RealAge Test. Find out how old you really are. This fun test has been seen on NBC Today Show, ABC Good Morning America, ABC 20/20, CBS Early Show, MSNBC, Fox News Channel, CNN, and more! It’s a fun thing to do and only takes less than 5 minutes. Plus, the RealAge site provides great information on health and wellness to improve your “RealAge”.

The RealAge test says my age is 44.8 yrs..........I'm actually 46! Areas I definitely need to work on are exercise and eating healthier, but I'll take being almost 2 yrs. younger anyday!!! Try the quiz for yourself and link up here:

21 Day Organizing Challenge - day 1

Day 1 - junk drawer

{before}
Now we all have these, don't we??? The drawer you put all those things in that you never can find a home for and once you put them in that drawer, you never remember what's in there. That "stuff" that is just taking up space, stuff you rarely use, but devote a whole drawer to. Not only does it take up space, but it's usually a messy space. If I'm going to have a "junk" drawer, why can't it be nice and organized? I think taking this 21 day organizing challenge will help me do just that......get organized!!!{after}
This drawer is in my kitchen. I keep stuff like jars, old calendars (I keep them from several years back), printer ink, mailing supplies, Coke caps, and other misc. items in this drawer. When I emptied it out, there were lots of things that didn't belong in there, like extension cords, greeting cards, pet toys, etc. I moved them to their respective places & even threw away a few things. For now, the junk drawer is neat & tidy....we'll see how long it stays like this!!
