{FAMILY}

OCTOBER 🍂 what a whirlwind October was- I was finally finished with work for the season, and had it all planned out. I was going to start this whole new lifestyle change and get the house fall-cleaned and organized for the upcoming holidays. We spent a wonderful week in New York, but came home to the sad news that my aunt Liz had passed. Life changes quickly - we spent the next week taking care of funeral details and just being with the family. After the funeral, we gathered at Liz’s house and it felt sad yet good to have everyone together and I asked if we could get a picture. It was impromptu, so a few are missing, but it’s a reminder that no matter how far away family is or how long it is until you see each other, this is really what it’s all about. Being there for each other in the darkest of times, and knowing you always have these people for support and love. We can’t plan our days, we aren’t even guaranteed our next minute, but what we can count on is family, friends, and most of all God, to help us through these hard times in our life.

This picture was taken on 09.27.19 at Rowen's 2nd Birthday Party. Liz was so happy that day and enjoyed being at family gatherings whenever she could. She was taken to the hospital that Monday 09.30.19 - moved to rehab a few days later...fell and broke her leg on 10.09.19 and had a long surgery that evening. She suffered a severe stroke through the night and never regained full awareness or was able to speak. She was moved to a nursing home on 10.18.19 and after a meeting with the family the next morning, was given 3-5 days. She passed that night 10.19.19.
