JASMINE • hmmmm, what a strange one! We adopted this kitty a little over a year ago and we were warned that she was a little nervous, shy, jumpy, weird, and she’s actually all of the above and more! She doesn’t like affection (which has been rough for Peter because he is a true cat lover). She rarely gets up in his lap, or wants to be petted or picked up, and she often hisses at him. She seems a little more comfortable with me and will even come and sit with me on her own. Jazz has really regressed lately and is more fearful and jumpy, and has even had a few “accidents” although I’m not convinced this isn’t a behavioral problem. Peter recently heard about “Scaredy Cat” drops by Jackson Galaxy Solutions. It’s an herbal solution that you add to your cat’s water or food a few times a day to help with their their timidness and fear. We ordered a bottle in our last order from Chewy.com and have been using the drops for 5 days now. We noticed a change in Jazz’s behavior almost instantly! She is much calmer and less jumpy, she has started wandering around the house again, and she has even jumped up in Peter’s lap on her own. Hopefully, this is a permanent solution and Jasmine will continue to be less afraid and start to mellow out a little more. Has anyone else had a cat with similar behavior problems? Any tips you have for “scaredy cats” is appreciated!!
