Valentine's Day Getaway [Annie's Paramount Steak & Seafood]

We chose Annie's Paramount Steak & Seafood House for our date night. The atmosphere, service, and most of all the food, did not disappoint.

I got the Lobster & Filet ---it was ah-mazing!! <3

 Peter got the Maryland Crab soup as an app.....

and the top sirloin & sesame crusted ahi - which he said was perfect!

Although we were stuffed....we shared a slice of Red Velvet Cheesecake for dessert. <3

We had heard good things about Annie's from friends and they definitely were right about it being an awesome spot to celebrate Valentine's Day! We will return on future trips in that area. :O)

The view at night from our balcony was absolutely beautiful! I am so glad we chose the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake and I'm also glad we splurged for a room with a balcony - what a gorgeous place! I already want to go back!!

Valentine's Day Getaway [Hyatt Regency Chesapeake]

02.09.19 We were headed to Cambridge for the night, but we stopped in Salisbury and did a little shopping and had lunch at Firehouse Subs.

We always love trying new places, so for this trip we chose the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake  

which had been on my bucket list and splurged on a king bed/balcony with water view room.
It was wonderful! <3

For dinner, we chose Annie's Paramount Steak & Seafood House 

in Kent Island. It was a gorgeous evening for a drive - about 45 minutes away.

Valentine's Day Getaway [a little visit]

02.08.19 We went out on the evening boat to add an extra night to our Valentine getaway. A little visit with Logan, Lindsey, and Kamry is always welcome. I hadn't seen her in a month and we were both so excited to spend some time together. While they were busy getting dinner ready, Kamry and I went "camping" in a "tent" complete with a zipper to keep the monsters out (after we looked at the stars, moon, and clouds in the sky!) The video clip below is only audio - I want to always remember that little voice and sweet conversations. <3

We had a yummy seafood feast - cream of crab soup, steamed clams, and stone crab claws. 

It was delicious! Always enjoy the love and laughter when we gather around the table together.

then "iceskating"-- making a "picnic" -- playing with her dollhouse --reading stories

Kamry had a bad cold for over a week and the doctor prescribed the nebulizer (which she hated). :O(

After Kamry went to bed, we sat up til the wee hours talking and laughing and reminiscing.

I enjoy this special time with my children, just hanging out and getting caught up. <3

The next morning, Kamry and Lindsey slept in, but we had coffee with Logan before heading out for the day. What a wonderful time we had!!
