Menu Plan Monday: April 8 -20

Menu Plan Monday 🍽 April 8 -20

I planned meals and made a grocery list over the weekend
for the next two weeks. I did pretty good with the last menu plan -
I made 8/12 dinners [plus added an unexpected @hellofresh meal (thanks again @tren_math )
and we ordered out a few times because cooking dinner just didn’t fit in. ]
I carried over the 4 meals* I didn’t make and added enough meals to take us
through Easter weekend. I don’t have a set day for each meal, I just make whatever fits I
nto my schedule or what we are in the mood for, but I do make sure to have all
the ingredients on hand. I pulled out the Magnolia and Pioneer Woman cookbooks and
added some of our faves for this 2-week menu.

• Hamburger Steak
• Potato Soup & Grilled Cheese
• Sheet Pan Nachos
• Almond Chicken Tenders
• Spaghetti
• Steak + Shrimp Skewers
• Easter Dinner - Ham
• Hello Fresh meal
• Chicken Pot Pie*
• Lasagna*
• White Bean Chicken Chili*
• Chicken Salad on Croissants & Tomato Basil Soup*

and Spam /Fried Potatoes & Onions (don’t judge it’s one of my faves ☺️)
I did add Ina Garten's Sauted Cabbage as a side, so I guess that fancied my meal up a little! :O)

{SAUTED CABBAGE}

[*I add 2 T olive oil as well]

Here’s my last menu plan in case you are looking for dinner ideas -

- Lemon-Basil Shrimp Skewers w/Orzo & Avocado
- Clams Casino, Baked Potatoes, & Asparagus
-  Steak & Roasted Brussel Spouts
 - Meatloaf, glazed carrots, & collards
- Grilled Chicken Caprese Salad
- bbq chicken, rice, & collards
- Shrimp Po’Boys & Homemade Chips
- Taco Soup & Corn Bread
- Beef & Broccoli over Rice & Corn Pudding
- Neopolitan Casserole & Garlic Bread
- Hello Fresh meal
- Order Out

I felt much more organized and I definitely saved money on the grocery budget using a planned menu, so hopefully I’ll keep it up! Planning to do another trip to ALDI this week - I was super impressed with the prices and quality there.

Birthday Weekend in PHILLY! (4)

Next, we walked over to the One Liberty Observation Tower. Tickets to go to the top of the 56 stories is $8.00 each for adults and worth a trip up there to take in such a spectacular view of the city!!

Birthday Weekend in PHILLY! (2)

We drove to the Philadelphia Museum of Art because it was the furthest from our hotel.
We wandered around and got some pictures and did the touristy poses on the steps and next to the Rocky statue. :O)

"Rocky Balboa"

They had the exact spot marked where Rocky looked out at the city --
I just LOVE this view of Philadelphia!!
